Hi,
I notice my trunk interior light does not come on all the time when the trunk is open. By moving the trunk forward (i.e. towards the closing direction), the trunk interior light will come on. As soon as I release the trunk and the trunk spring rods bring the trunk to fully open, the ttrunk light will go out.

Now when lock the car doors, open the trunk (trunk light is off). When the trunk light does come on, the car alarm system goes off. I think the car thinks someone breaks into the trunk.

Can someone show me how I can adjust the trunk open sensor so the trunk interior ligth will stay on and avoid the car alarm going off?

adjust your switch

 

I know I have to adjust the switch.
Is the switch inside the trunk near the subwoofer or near the gas tank nozzle? Or, do I have to access it from the passenger compartment side?

 

The car is a 2005 with MT. I popped all the trunk panels and I could not locate the switch activating the trunk interior light.
Would someone help me locate this switch or provide me a diagram?

 

I have this exact same problem. Did you ever figure out if adjusting the switch worked and where it was located?
