I realized last week that my trunk light went out, so I changed out the bulb with a new one, but it still didn't light up..... I then took a look at the trunk lock/latch and when i pushed up halfway on the lock/latch...the light worked. It seems like everytime i pop my trunk...the latch doesn't engage and trigger the trunk light....does anyone know if this part is replaceable?? Its really annoying not having light in the trunk...especially at night..

Just take it to the dealer maybe it's still under warranty? My trunk locked up on me (Couldn't get the damn thing opened, had to use an unbrella from inside to manually pop engaged the emergency latch) about a month after I bought my car and they had to replace the entire lock mechanism. Maybe you can get yours replaced too

CHeck the fuse or recheck the wiring. Wire could be touching something the cause a burn out. I had the problem. Good Luck
