Transmission problems

Hey everyone my Acura TL 2005 3.2 transmission just blew out on me and I was wondering what's the best option for me at this point idk if I should just fix it and put in a new transmission or rebuild the whole engine and If I do get another transmission what are some things I can do to prevent the transmission from blowing out so easily again ?

Where are you located ? I followed acurazine guidelines for transmission fluid change. It lasted till 190k before going out

I researched and used a transmission Honda specialist in Southern California that I absolutely recommend. Not sure where you’re located though. My guy gave me a 36k warranty or 3 years. It costed about 1850$

Wow 190k. Long lasting.

I was on the highway the weekend and got on it, and the transmission downshifted to 2nd gear and would not upshift.. So I got off the highway and parked it, turned off the engine and restarted, and the problem was gone. All shifting ok. I have no idea what it is. Sounds like a B or C valve shift solenoid or an A or B pressure control solenoid. I already replaced the 3 and 4 clutch fluid pressure switches like 20k miles ago...
So I'm thinking about replace like the majority of those other switches and solenoids.
there are aftermarket ones for a lot cheaper on ebay..And amazzon.

These pcms dont malfunction very often. I've seen 3rd gen TLs in the salvage yard with 309,000 miles and was smashed on 1 side. It would have kept on going if not for being totaled.

that said $1800 is cheap. I'm almost thinking about doing that just for fun. Haha
