This morning I was on the hwy and when I stepped on the gas to pass cars the RPMS started racing, so when the situation got worst where I had to pull off to the side of the road I tried to put it in reverse and it took it's time to going in reverse. Tried triptronic worked in second but then got stuck in Fourth gear. Idle is normal no dash lights turned off the car worked for awhile and Rpms acted again. So the car got towed to my mechanic shop and I guess I'll find out the problem tomorrow

All your symptoms point to transmission. Nothing you said points to throttle body, do you even know what a throttle body is

Yes I do know what a throttle body is I was just reading old threads on throttle body position sensors and other stuff that causes a bad throttle body that's why I posted the throttle or tranny

You mean accelerator pedal position(APP) sensor?

Transmission.. check your fluid level, do a 3x3, and cross your fingers. If it goes well, replace your pressure switches and serviceable trans filter if you have one (04-06).

If it were your APP (aka TPS) sensor, it would put you in limp mode (drops you to 2nd / 3rd gear and RPMs won't go above 3-3.5k IIRC). Your instrument cluster would blow up like a christmas tree as well. CEL, VSA, etc.

I have similar situation.
My 06 was jerking/slipping between 1500-2000 RPMs the other day, then yesterday on the interstate it raced up to 7000 rpm and would not go passed 2nd gear.....

It too is towed to mechanic.

any advice??? I did a 3x3 and pressure switches about 50k ago or so (currently 170k)
