tranny issue - 2 step engagement

I have read some prior posts regarding some owners complaining on a delay shifting into drive and a few with a '2 step engagement'. The trans was previously just replaced with a 'reman' unit for a different problem and now this 2 step shift into drive issue! (seems like clutch pacs not locking up immediately- tried neutral to drive without brake and rolls slowly foreward and then locks in.) Dealer says shift duration is still within specs. This problem is most noticeable when cold. Have any other owners had to deal with this and had it solved? or this is just a defective tranny and should be replaced again.Checked out part #'s - 05 tranny (updated case) same as my low mile 06, but 08 different #.

Mine has done this since new. It hits the first time and starts rolling and then bumps again a second later and feels like it fully engages.

It almost feels like it engages second gear first and then first gear.

I've been through 3 different types of fluid and it has a cooler and extra filter on it. Also replaced the 3rd and 4th gear sensors which made a huge shift quality improvement. Nothing has made even a slight difference with the double bump. I have to assume it's normal. I'm at 79,000 miles now, bought the car with 7 miles on it.
