Question Tough Steering

I generally love my 2005 Silver TL 6MT Navi, but recently I have noticed it being extremely tough to steer at low speeds (parking in particular). Unfortunately, I love to drive but I do not know anything 'bout mechanics. If anyone has any thoughts that would be great.

On a side note, I need new perf. tires. I have 25k on the existing ones. Should I go to a tire place or have the dealer put new tires on.

Does it make any noise when turning at low speeds? Might wasnt to check on your power steering fluid.

1) ^^ Check PS fluid.
2) Check the air pressure in your tires- too little air pressure will make low speed steering harder, amongst other problems. Pressure should be checked with tires COLD.
3) Tire wear issue-- alignment may be off from tire wear, thus causing difficult steering
4) Go to Costco or a tire dealer, NOT the Acura dealer, as the price is likely to be significantly higher from the Acura dealer. You can check Costco's tire availability (it's arranged by car and transmission type) for the TL and costs on-line. Call Discount Tires, Tire Warehouse or some other places for price comparo. Call dealer too, just in case it's reasonable (but likely not).
