So I took my 06 TL in for the rear shelf rattling issue. I even mentioned that there is a TSB for this and the dealer knew about it as well. But they are saying the whole rear shelf needs to be replaced because it is warped. Anyone had theirs replaced? I thought it was just a matter of adding some more padding.

 

Hmmm nope, mine was just padded to all hell. Maybe they did find something else..

 

UPDATE:

Well apparently they added more padding and found out that the shelf needs to be replaced, so my car currently should have the padding still, with the new shelf, but it started rattling again. I am going to take it back and they will love me.

 

Do you know where I can find literature on this issue because my mechanic isn't coming up with anything about this.
