TL won't start - simple fix! Read before trying too many other things!
I decided to share an embarrassing and costly incident so others can avoid what happened to me!
Scenario: 2008 TL with 65k (non-modified car). TL was sitting in driveway, motor cold. Start TL and pull into garage and shut off engine, done fairly quickly. Next day, car won’t start. Researched these threads and found a lot of possibilities. Tried different keys, checked fuses, etc. Nada. Had it towed to the dealer. Started right up. Dealer mechanic asked if I had ‘started the car and moved it a short distance and shut it off quickly’ and I said…hmmm…OK, yah, so? He explained that the motor was flooded. Injectors still squirting gas when motor went off.
OK, now I’ve turned a wrench for 30+ years and never though that a drive-by-wire car could flood or if I even put the throttle to the floor that it would clear out a flooded motor…WRONG! Apparently, that’s all it was and the simple fix is like the old carburetor days…pedal to the floor (don’t pump) and start the motor.
Doh!!!!
oh yeah, dealer charge $0 (Acura dealers in the Minneapolis area are cool). Tow charge $too much. Embracement factor: off-the-scale!

Might be worth posting if people search this thread when they're stuck. My ignition wouldn't turn the other day, I call up the dealer and say "you sold me a piece of shit that won't start", the service guy says jiggle the wheel, key turned and it started right away. For some reason if the wheel locks the ignition can't turn. I was on my way after 20 minutes of frustration lol.
