Has anyone owned both? My friend many years back owned the auto and said he got terrible MPG with no lead foot. Highway mpg was ok but city wasn’t great. I’ve owned an 2004 TL manual and I thought it actually had good MPG for a 3.2.

I’m now looking at 07/08 Type S, I’d prefer the manual but my wife might drive it and hasn’t driven a manual in 10 years plus the auto are easy to find. Does the blue paint hold up well? That might be the prettiest blue I’ve seen on a car in pictures.

The TL is not a "mileage" car. That said, I get 25 overall, but I don't do much inner city driving, and I drive like a grampa.
The KBP in my avi has 248K..I think it's holding up well.
