TL-S Interior Lighting

I have a question for all you type s owners.
All the buttons in my 08 tl-s light up red except the upper ones. They are blue like the base tl. This doesn't seem right to me. Shouldn't these buttons be lighting up red?

Oh, the accent lights.

Yeah, mine are RED.

Some one on the assembly line had a "senior moment".

Just to be clear on this, at first I was only focused on the accent lighting which for some reason is blue on yours. As has been said, those should be red. Also though, the rest of the lights in that area should be red....like the sunroof light in the pic you posted.

those should be red, probably the dealer replaced them due to a tech scratching them or something and ordered the wrong part...

Well I hope the dealer wont give me any problems about replacing these lights. I can just see them trying to argue that they work and there is nothing wrong.

The Homelink lights should be red as well. If the whole ceiling unit was swapped out with a regular TL unit, that would account for the lights being wrong. I take it you bought this TL-S used or had the ceiling area replaced. Good luck.

You mean the red lights?.. I would agree.. Too bad they didn't make an RL-S.. we could call it the Red Light Special.

yeah i bought this car brand new off the lot. only 3 months old. So i'm guessing this was a manufacturing mistake. Unless the dealer swapped out the lights for what ever reason.
I will let u guys know what the dealer says. I am going to take it soon.

Yeah.. *ish happens.. sometimes a batch can get some mixed leds / bulbs. Hope it turns out well, should be quick & easy assuming they have'em in stock.. I'd call first. btw.. what type of wheels are your rolling on? Tell me they're black and that's not brake dust.. lol..

If you're not the first owner, perhaps the previous owner replaced that particular part, and just took it from a base TL (knowingly or not).
