TL-S Was Dead This Morning???
Hey guys, here's the scenario.
Last night, I kind of noticed that it took a couple more cranks to start up when I was running errands yesterday. However, the last time I started her up to drive home she started fine.
This morning, after cool night (40-45 degrees), I hop in the car and she just clicks for the first few times. I would hear what sounded like the subwoofer getting a lick of power (everything is stock on this car), all the lights would flicker and whatnot, and it would just keep clicking like a dead battery. This is the first car I've ever had that doesn't have a battery gauge to look at so I'm kind of stumped.
Then, all of a sudden, she caught hold and fired up. It drove fine the entire way to work with the stereo on. Once I got to work, I shut it off, sat for like 3 minutes, then attempted to start it back up. No luck...now she just clicks again.
Car is a 2007 TL-S, 5AT with only 13,500 miles. I've never had a problem before.
I didn't leave anything on in the car last night, I don't have a radar detector or anything that would drain the battery.
What do you guys think?

go to the dealer and they will give you a new and much better battery...the one my acura dealer gave me has a 100 month warranty on it....mine died on me at about the 10 month mark...i think i had about 12-13k miles on mine too....
Well, now I'm confused.
It didn't want to start this morning but finally did. Then, when I got to work, I turned it off and it didn't start back up. I was on my way to go pick up a new battery and be done with it when I just hopped in my car to make sure it was dead still and I turned the key, it didn't start. I turned the key again and it fired right up like it was nothing. Now it's starting up like a champ.
What gives?

Dont know if youve tried or not...But, go check the negative cable on the battery. Sounds as though it has come loose
FYI: When i put my optima in i made a simple mistake of not tightening the ground cable down for some reason
and my TL had the same things going on with it.
Let us know if that helps.

All cables are very tight on the terminals. Since it has warmed up a bit today (Was about 45 this morning, now is about 78) it slow cranks but is starting...
I'm taking into the stealership in about an hour. They say they'll put in a new battery no problem...

Took it to the dealership after a jump on Friday afternoon. They got me in within 5 minutes of being there. Tested the battery, took it out, put a new, different interstate battery in there and now I'm good to go.
This was my first time to use a warranty in my entire life. Great experience. A+ for David McDavid Acura in Austin, TX.
