So last week my CEL light came on while driving on my 04 TL. Drove just fine, today I tried starting the car and there was no power so I jumped it and it started, but then I noticed that all the side markers brake lights were flickering or flashing. Inside I could hear the turn signals clicking, the dome dash lights, the back lit lights for the radio/navigation/radio controls were all flickering. I let the car run for 15 mins, I turned it off, and even though the car was off and locked everything was still flickering. I figured this is what probably drained my battery. Has anyone ever heard of this. i searched and a lot of people have reported this while driving, but I havent seen anyone talk about this happening while the car is off sitting in my garage. I disconnected the positive terminal for now to make the flickering stop. Any suggestions.

BTW, I did disconnect the HFL module and tested all the fuses. I'm still seeing all the light flickering when the battery is re-connected.

 

Sounds like your MICU or fuse box is all times of messed up.. Was this a flooded car or something? How long have you had it?

 

I bought it brand new in 2004. Car was never flooded or damaged. I tested the fuses under the steering wheel as well as the one in the engine bay.

 

I just bought a used 2006 TL, ran great first 2 weeks then went to go to work and car completely dead. nothing!! I jumped it and it started right up but i noticed the head lights, side blinkers, and rear lights were all flashing on and off, which killed the battery, this time wouldnt jump. I bought a brand new battery, started right up. The minute I turn the engine off everything starts blinking again. i disconnected one of the battery terminals so it wouldnt kill my brand new battery. I have read a lot of other people having the same problem, but no one seems to have an answer. Anyone have any idea?
