Tint Issue
Tint Issue
Hey guys,
I got my tints done from The Tint Shop on Long Island a few months ago. I noticed on the rear window that at night when headlights are hitting the window, the light is reflecting to each defrost line. This usually happens when it raining.
I went back and he said it is normal due to the angel of the rear window. Does any one have this problem that have plastic tints. I have 20%.
Thank you

It's normal. I noticed this after getting my windows tinted also. Headlights from cars behind you reflect off the tint around the defrost "lines". Think of it this way, there are very small "gaps" between the edges of the defroster lines and the tint simply because you can't get the tint to completely seal around the lines since they are slightly raised. This space is what is creating the extra glare. Give it a little while, you'll get used to it.
