Timing belt and water pump question?

Timing belt and water pump question?
I just recently did the timing belt, water pump and drive belts service at a Honda Dealer (Hamilton Honda in NJ) and, honestly, I dont feel a difference at all from before and after. The car isn't necessarily quieter and MPG is the same (im not sure if these would benefit from such service). How would I know I didn't get ripped off? The Tech dude showed me my old timing belt and they also said that I MUST change for timing tensioner (extra $98)...did I get ripped off? lol

If your car was running well prior to the belt and water pump replacement, why would you expect it to run any differently? It's simply replacement of parts (the belts) that will wear and fail in the future if you put enough miles on them (the water pump is done at the same time as the engine is torn down and it makes no sense not to do it to avoid an issue in the future). Why would you feel you got ripped off? They did what you asked of them and a new tensioner is always a good idea- drive on and don't worry.
