Tighten Gas Cap Warning Message
Well I've had the tighten gas cap warning for the last year at least on my 07 Type-S. I took it to the dealer 2-3 times but they couldn't reproduce the issue.
So nothing was done. After the warranty expired I gave up trying to fix it. It prgressively got worse to the point where it would come on 2-3 times a day nearly everyday. I searched here and read about replacing the gas cap, fuel tube and purge solenoid. I really didn't think the cap or fuel tube were damaged so I bought a solenoid online for about $80. Well after about 2 weeks no tighten gas cap warning. So I guess my issue is fixed.

yea that was the problem bro i had to go to the dealer twice about this issue. and after showing the service advisor the TSB that this is a problem they change it under warrenty. also have you got a code P0171 bank 1 lean i get that all time got it check out and they change the MAF Sensor and i got a PCM update but that didnt work. Put hopefully the purge valve sensor change can solve that issue as well. how many miles you have on your type s

Where is the Purge Solenoid?
My dealer told I need to change the fuel Regulator it is not under drive-train warranty?? my bumper to bumper has expired too.
Wha? this problem started at 30,000 miles. I now have only 50,000
Seems this worked for you. where is the part located how do you install?
