Threw a code P0658. Car stalled out then wouldn't turn over

The car is a 2005 tl 6 speed. The check engine light came on then within a minute the car died. Then it wouldn't start. I get help to push it then i pop-start it. It runs. After shutting the car off, I'm able to start it back up and the check engine light is gone.
so what the heck happened? And how to prevent it from happening again. Thanks, y'all.

My battery is fairly new. Dated 05/19. Rated 550 cca. Car is running well again. It does appear to be a fluke.

A fluke? Unlikely. More likely guess would be a problem with your battery cables causing intermittent issues. The TL won't run with the battery not connected. If you cables or clamps are failing, it could have been enough of a disconnect to cause a stall and a CEL. Then a bump or two later, they are all all good again for a while.

I would highly recommend taking a closer look at the positive battery clamp and cable to make sure there is no corrosion and the connections are all solid.
