Temperature gauge innacurate recall?
Hey I was wondering with the temperature being wrong recall, does the "gauge control module" just monitor the temperature or does it control other things like the trip computer that shows up on the MID or anything else like that? I was thinking about taking it in for the recall but I want to know what exactly the gauge control module is/does.
The recall I'm talking about is it: http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b05-025.PDF

You can ask the SERVICE MANANGER what it does

OK, 1st that is not a Recall. It is a Technical Service Bulletin.
Major differences:
- Recall is *usually* safety related, this is not;
- They MUST notify Owners and Fix recall items at no charge. The TSB they do NOT have to notify you.
Best thing to do, if you think you have the problem, is 1st confirm your Model/VIN is covered. Then schedule a service appointment and take a copy of the TSB with you. IF Acura decides you do NOT have this problem, there is the *potential* for a diagnostics charge.
