temparature = "---" then 118 degrees

I thought the dealer fixed this problem with the recall they had a few months ago. But apparantly instead of fixing it they introduced the problem. I am reffering to the recall that basically said that sometimes the outside temparature reading would display "---". I personally never had that problem, but since I was taking the car in for service anyway I had them "fix" that problem so it wouldn't happen to me in the future. This was about 6 months ago.

This weekend I started noticing my outside temperature reading showing "---" and then about 10 minutes later it would display a ridiculous reading like 118 degrees. Last night it did the same thing and finally displayed an outside temperature reading of 118 degrees eventhough it was only 70 degrees outside.

Has anyone else been experiencing this problem after the dealer "fixed" it?

05 TL btw.

These might help you. The thread is pretty old but theres some good discussion on it. Also found a Service Bulletin on it as well.
