Thumbs down tail light led strip out

I did a search and couldn't find any information about this. A few leds in the passenger side tail light have burned out and I'm not sure what to do about this. or is this something that is fixable? Maybe an excuse to upgrade to some new tails?

My buddy with an 05 was having transmission troubles. Whenever he would take off from a dead stop the car would shift into 2nd to early, bog down, then shift back into 1st, (I think) and then would drive fine. Weird thing was , it would only do it when the headlights or parking lights were turned on.
It turned out to be a few burned out LED's in his taillight were shorting out and causing the problem. the dealer replaced the LED's, but I'm not sure if you can replace them individually or if you have to replace the whole board.

you can replace the LED's, but it takes a professional with a bit of soldering experience. The LED boards are very delicate for the tail lights. Its much easier and cheaper to replace the board then pay to get it done and risk the entire board getting damaged.
