Suspension

I was looking at the drivers side control arm and it looks like there is a mount or some rubber piece near it that appears to be torn. Any clue as to what this is?
Is it normal or torn part that need to have replaced?

seems like the mount is fine, however your compliance bushing is torn.

In the post after this, coincidentially, there are clearer pictures and they are saying that this is the lower transmission mount. The compliance bushing is sitting inside the lower control arm.
