Sunroof Tilt With Roll-down feature?

One time, by sheer accident im sure, I walked up to my car and held the button(unlock button on remote) down for the windows to open. And the windows went down, but the sunroof went into its tilt position. I thought that was so cool because I always wished it would do that instead of open the sunroof all the way. Is there a way that you can do that all the time or did it remember the last position that I had the sunroof in? has this happened to you before? lemme KNow.

Mine has always opened, never tilted.

Like you I would much rather have it tilt though. If you figure it out please let me know.

Are you sure it wasn't left in the tilt position? I wonder what the sunroof does if it is left in the tilt position and you open the windows from the remote.

The sunroof just stays tilted open while the windows roll down. I often park the TL with the sunroof tilted open and roll the windows down as I return so that I use the A/C less.

Yeah Im sure that I didnt leave it tilted. I saw it with my own eyes. Before I parked the car, however, I did have it tilted but I closed all the windows with the key. Im just wondering if it has some type of memory or something. IM going to continue to experiment around with it. I would much rather have it tilt, because it taked the longest for the sunroof to open and close, and the window motors stay engaged as long as youre holding the button, even if the windows have reached its fully rolled down position.

The sunroof will tilt open if it is not closed 100% from the tilt position. Try tilting the sunroof as slightly as you can from closed. Then when you open the windows from the FOB, it will open to full tilt....Otherwise, if the sunroof is completely closed, it will open with the windows rather than tilt. Hope this helps.

Well I always use the auto open/close features for the sunroof. Of course you know that there is no way to gradually tilt the sunroof. Once you press the tilt button, it goes to full tilt. However, when closing, you could NOT close it all the way or gradually close it, but as I said. I use the auto close button so that I know its fully closed. This only happened once so I dont know how or why, I just wish it would do it all the time.
