Sunroof LEAK (04TL)
This is my first new thread so here I go…
My beloved TL has sprung a leak. We have had some heavy rains here in GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and I noticed (or I better yet felt) water dripping from the headliner (pic attached)[
.
I was able to replicate the problem by pouring water into the sunroof channels which do work properly but for some reason it still leaks water in the middle of the sunroof.. any ideas/suggestions would be welcomed. I am not sure if the seals are gone but I took a few more pics to make your own judgment:

I am hesitant to take it to the dealer as I am sure it would cost me my right leg at a minimum (out of warranty 4 years and 81,XXXkms)
I would welcome anyone who may have the shop manual that shows how to take down the headliner to be able to pinpoint the leak.

When you say "the channels work" do you mean all four drain tubes are working, i.e., you can see puddles underneath the car in each exit location? It sure sounds like one or more of the tubes are clogged. If so, you can often clear the obstruction by snaking a thick, commercial grade "weed whacker" type trimmer line down each channel.

It might be the windsheild seal at the top center. When you tested, did water also get on the windsheild ?
If you check, you will see that this overhead console attached behind the windsheild. So, if the seal in the windshield (located by the console) went bad and allowed water to seep in, it could be your problem.
Perhaps try taping off the sunroof seams to make sure no water gets past the tape. Spray the windshield in front of the overhead console.
