Today I went to an appointment, I was driving 70-75 steady on the highway when I felt the car pull back. I immediately noticed the check engine, VSA, and ! lights come on. When I got off the highway I hit a red light and could hardly accelerate off the line because the car was still in third. I was able to get it up to fourth by switching to neutral and back to drive. The appointment lasted about 20 minutes and I came back out, turned the car on. Only the check engine light was on, but the car drove pretty much normal the whole 45 minute drive home.

Going to get it checked out these next few days, but would like someone else's opinion before heading to the shop. Had my transmission die on my old TL, hope I don't face a similar fate here.

UPDATE: Brought the car into Advance Auto Parts to read the engine codes.

P2138 - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1/2 Incorrect Voltage

Looks like I need a new TPS sensor. Hope this is the only problem.

 

I would think you need The APP sensor. It's an easy fix, if I wasn't on my phone I'd link it, but search the forum it'll come up.
