Struts? How to tell? Just mounts?

I have done a lot of reading over the past few days and ran across a few dilemmas. I have recently replaced, myself both left and right front CVs (new OEM assembly from local dealer), sway bar links (Moog), tie rod ends (Moog), ABS sensors (OEM, had to be destroyed as they would not come lose from the knuckle), lower ball joints (Moog), lower control arms (Mevotech CMS601021 & CMS601022), and Front brakes, the backs are fine for now, (Wearever rotors and Akebono pads).

Had a few issues with installation… After getting reman’d CVs from Acura the driver’s side slid out backing out of the garage. Dealer claimed I did not install fully into the transmission. I know when I installed it that it “clicked” in and was not sliding out when I tugged on it a bit after install. Regardless I digress, was still getting some vibrations but everything felt much better than before, all was rusty from 130k miles in Ohio.

I will say for us 07-08 base AT folks I feel the front SBL may have a larger post than the 04-06 but cannot confirm. The mounting hole on the Mevotech LCAs is approximately 1/8” too small for the OEM link and the Moog links fit like a glove to the LCA but left a TINY gap on the FSB end.
Got 3 bent rims straightened yesterday after hitting a pot hole so deep I could smell the Chinese food emanating from it; and the others were bent when I bought it… Feels like glass now, but I think I may have finally broken a strut hitting the aforementioned portal to the other side of the Earth.

Now for the dilemmas, I have a click coming from the front passenger side that sounds like an issue in the strut mount/assembly. I am going to order new ones as we all know 130k miles of city driving and enough pot holes to bend 3 rims is surly enough to kill the struts. I know the old adage is “unless they are broken they aren’t bad” and “no way to tell if broken unless making noise or leaking”… I know at the very least this one is making noise, I also feel like the chassis is also a little bouncier than normal.

Link to video of the sound.

It's your struts ridding only on fluid inside the piston, most of the gas escape out cause thumb clicking sound when you go over bump.

Question is a-spec from OEMAcuraParts or just buy new fronts. Base fronts $177 a pop for the front (about $400 shipped), a-spec $650 shipped all the way around. I can get just the a-spec fronts but I assume that would be a bad idea. I know there are threads on this but no one has discussed just doing the fronts and waiting on the backs. For the extra 250 I would like the piece of mind of doing all 4.

On a side note to anyone getting vibration even if you can't see the bend in the wheel I highly suggest having your wheels inspected by a shop that does REAL alloy repair.

If your local road is rough aka pot hole heaven, I recomemded you go with original if you can tolerate the rough ride go with aspec. Replace all 4 side regardless of base or aspec but that just my .02

Sounds like your side engine mount to me. Check that first before getting the new shocks.

Here's a similar problem that was the the mount.

That's exactly why I never installed the A-Spec suspension. The NYC area IS a pothole heaven if there ever was one. And some of them are cratered like the moon!

An engine mount clicking like this has to be REAL bad... Wasn't the mounts. Mounts are all in fine condition, the front may move a little more than it should but the right is the one that always makes noise like that and it has obviously been replaced on my ride. Also, once again, in order for the mounts to click you would have had to have been ignoring other issues for a long time like vibration.
