Don't know what it could be. Every time I go over a bump with either the left side of the car, or the right, but not both, I hear a clunk. It doesn't sound natural at all. Like I said though, the wheels have to travel independently to make the noise. Any ideas of what could be loose back there? It's not anything rolling around in the trunk, mine is empty, lol.

Maybe the sway bar endlinks. Mine would make a clunk noise in the rear when I went over a bump and it was the endlinks.

could also be a blown shock.

End links loose, or sheared? It was the endlinks a few months ago, but I loctited them and I thought it was a different sound...maybe not lol

Well, when mine were bad it was because the grease inside was bad.

I had the noise on my passenger rear ... and got the shock replaced. My technician told me the struts were bad as the rod moved side to side a little.
