Still having headlight problem

Before my 2008 Acura TL passenger headlight would cut off after a minute of starting car. This happens every time you start car. I thought the ballast and ignitor was bad. So, I order new OEM ballast and ignitor and replace the old one. Still the same thing. What else could it be?

Did you try the bulb itself. I had the same problem and switching the bulb worked

Yes. Try new build and same thing. The new bulb I use is xenon d2s 6000k.

Hmm not sure then maybe a fuse that's blown or something along the wiring

i had this happen to me. When you turn your headlights on and drive one bulb will stay on for about 1-3 minutes and than turn off. If I turn the headlight switch to OFF and back to the ON position both bulbs will fire right up and eventually that same one will turn off again after 1-3 minutes. It would continue doing that non stop.

I didn't want to believe it was the bulb because I had just purchased Morimoto D2S 3Five 5K bulbs and had them in for about 1-2 months.

After doing some trouble shooting it turned out it was the bulb. I e-mailed The Retrofit Source and they sent me a replacement bulb and the new bulb worked perfect. It's been 8+ months now and both bulbs still work just fine.

typically it's the bulb that is the culprit when if you headlight is switching off after a few minutes.
with HID bulbs, if they are damaged or worn, they require more voltage to operate since they are out of spec...this causes the ballast to shut off since it can't supply an increasingly higher voltage to the failing bulbs. 99% of the time when this happens it is simply a bad HID bulb

I guess the new bulbs I have are bad. I hate when people rip me off. What company do you trust to buy DS2 bulb? Thanks.
