Steering Wheel Lights

A few on the lights on my steering wheel have been out for quite sometime. The cruise control and the cancel buttons to be exact, all on the right side of the wheel. I have a 2004 A-Spec 6mt and was wondering if there was any way to replace them without screwing anything up. Thanks in advance for any help. Drive safe!!!!

Do a search, you will find it. Can be a pain with the screws behind the wheel being tight and disconnecting the air bag.

I have about 118k on my 05 and I want to replace the lights on my steering wheel and the HFL buttons. When I looked at the parts diagram on acuraoemparts it looked like "hey there is just a set of screws to take off for each one and it's an easy replacement, so I ordered the bulbs.

Now I just looked at the service manual and it says for all 3 areas that you have to disconnect the battery, then remove the airbag. I am worried about doing this for 2 reasons:
- I don't want to lose all my saved navi addresses
- I don't want the airbag blowing up in my face/at all and then having to pay 1k+ for a new one just because I wanted to put some bulbs in.

Has anyone done this themselves?

Just disconnect the negative terminal. It's not going to blow up. Your addresses and radio stations will come back when you put the code in, just make sure you have both codes.

Are you 100% sure on the saved addresses and it not blowing up? After the power is out, if it gets hit somehow, it's not going to go off?

Yep. I've taken the steering wheel off mine twice and replaced airbags in other cars as part of interior swaps. The airbag needs power to go off.
