Steering wheel controls burnt out?

You'd have to remove the airbag, and then remove the switches. Each switch has a small bulb that would need to be replaced. There is usually a blue or brown "screw" you need to remove with a philips screw driver, and at the end of the screw there is a bulb. Its self explanitory after that.
I forget the model number of the bulb. but I've done it on my old accord and on the TL before...my seat warmer bulbs had gone out, along with a few that go in the trip buttons. You can get 2 for $1.99 at RadioShack instead of the dealer.
If you're going to go through the effort of removing the airbag to replace those, you might as well replace ALL the bulbs in the steering wheel, including HFL. They'll eventually go out and you'll have to remove everything again.

What a pain in the *** that is. A few of mine are out as well as some on my center console. I understand to change either is such a pain in the neck. WHY would they make it so difficult?!

ya have one one side burned out on steering wheel, my center console just burned out, and one of my heated seats lights is out too...cargoing in this week for servicing so honda can fix mine haha
