The light for the buttons on my steering wheel have stopped working. before i would tap on the buttons a little and the light would come back on but now nothing, the volume the channel the mode and the call hang up buttons don't light up, they still work but just don't light up at night

is it a wire connection problem or is the light burned out or what could it be

 

You have to switch out your bulbs.....

 

i did that, the head lights r on, so the dash gets dimer the stereo lights up and the cruise control buttons on the right side of the steering wheel light up buuuuuuuuuuut the buttons on the left dont

 

not switch on...

switch out.
there are tiny bulbs....replace them

Have fun; I replaced 18 bulbs a few months ago.

 

Do a search. There is a DIY on how to replace bulbs in steering wheel. Disconnect battery terminals to avoid blowing out other bulbs. Good Luck. Those little bulbs are a bitch!
