The left rear muffler busted on my 04 so I decided to do some mods. I settled on doing a stage 2 + magnaflow rears. I did the install myself and it went OK other than the fitment wasn't ideal. I used the hangars from the old mufflers, and wasn't able to attach where the mid muffler was, as well as the front mounts on the rear mufflers due to them being on a bit of an angle. Also don't have tips on ATM since the ones I ordered were a different size than listed. My problem is the car drones like an sob at 2000-2500 acceleration. Its actually louder than the exhaust itself at wide open From what I've read/seen this shouldn't be normal. What could I try to hopefully remedy the problem? Or am I SOL?

 

A resonator, aftermarket. I can’t remember the part number on the resonator, but you can google stage 3 exhaust, and type on Acurazine after. It’ll take a lil reading, but you’ll find the part number for the resonator which will remove “said drone” (from what I’ve read, I don’t have any of that on my car).

I have a Magnaflow resonator in place of the factory one, it's part #10415, so technically i have the stage 2 setup + the magnaflow rears.
