SRS Unit Repair

Has anyone sent out their SRS unit to a company to get it reflashed and cleared as new? I've seen a few companies that do it in the US from anywhere from $50 to $150. Please let me know your experiences and what issues you had.

I was told I need a new SRS unit due to me hitting a curb a few months back and now getting a SRS light. It was attempted to be reset but still stays on. I am aware that I have to replace the seatbelt tensioner and am going to look into that. I actually have a TSX but am sure that it's the same setup as far as airbags/seatbelts generally.

After an airbag or seat belt tensioner "deploys" the srs unit must be replaced. There is a type of deployment sensor or yaw sensor that is been rendered used up and the unit must be replaced.
Quit possibly a very skilled circuit electrician could replace the faulty interal circuit inside the unit, like the individual that designed it.....maybe

You CAN disassemble the gauge cluster and remove the bulb however

try ebay.............................

i know a local guy that actually knows how to fix the seatbelts when they lock after an accident..........to bad you are in texas....

my brother just took off his cluster and popped the led,for his piece of mind when he had his 05 accord.......the right away would be to get the unit reflashed but he didnt want to waste money on it when it didnt affect the way the car drives.

This is what dealerships and auto shops have told me. From what I gather websites/companies like the following can fix it back to oem standards:

It has been reset but still has errors. I have to replace my seatbelt tensioner first and possibly another part.

I would do this but I'm afraid that now that I have the SRS light on my airbags wouldn't deploy in an accident.
