Squeaking, Squeaking and More Squeaking

Greetings everyone. I have an 06' TL with 20k miles and the technology package. The dealership replaced all the speakers due to a major squeaking issue, (especially the front center speaker) and now the visors and the map pockets in the doors are squeaking. Anyone have any suggestions? Is this a common problem?

Thanks for your help.

@ the low mileage for an '06. But I've never heard of the visors nor map pockets EVER squeaking.

ck the DIY section for noises repair, lots of tricks in there

DO you crank the stereo with the windows cloased?
that will create a massive air pressure movement in an enclosed space,
which could lead to vibrations loosening screws and worse

If you do that:
try opening the sunroof or rear windows a bit- you will find the sound may be better quality at higher volumes

Watch the rear glass on any car with the bass thumpin at a stoplight- you can see the entire trunk lid and window glass moving~

you tried tightening the visor screws and made sure the door panel clips are in place and the screws in door panels are in tight?

dealer may have missed a few during speaker swap~ stranger things have happened

There are many sources of noise in the headliner/visor area. Mine was making snap, crackle, pop noises most of the time. I lowered the front-center part of my headliner ('07) last weekend and put adhesive felt on everything that looked like it might make noise. (Wires, connectors, edge of roof console, etc.) There are big improvements, but I'm not done yet. Next biggest source of noise appears to be the 4 plastic headliner clips on the forward side of the sunroof opening. I'm not sure how I'm going to solve it just yet.

For those who are interested in tackling this DIY, I followed the instructions in the service manual, also available in post 19 in this thread.

Thank You

Thanks for all the advice everyone - I found that opening the rear windows a bit helps, as I crank my music every time I am in the car, and I did tighten the visor screws, seems to be working so far. =-)
