sqeuaking or chirping coming from engine area, goes away when put in neutral
I just got my timing belt replaced at a honda dealership a few weeks ago, but now i started noticing that there is a sqeuaking or chirping sound coming from my engine compartment when I am driving...it's barely noticable when I am driving normal speeds (45), but when I am at a stop sign or stop light, I hear it sqeaking....if i put the car in neutral, it goes away completely. if i pop it back into drive, it comes back but will go away if i start driving at a normal speed.
any ideas what it could be?? is it a big problem that it goes away when i put the car in neutral and seems to be there when the car is in park or drive?

Mine just started to squeak today and I made an appointment last week for the 7th of next month to get an oil change along with refinishing one of my wheels that has a curb rash. Anyways, I guess I will have to add the squeaking issue. Hopefully, nothing breaks from now till December 7th. My car used to squeak around the belt area when cold then the noise would go away once warmed up. Today it seems more pronounced

Well, I replaced my belt tensioner along with the idler pulley and tensioner pulley this weekend and the squeaking is still there. i kind of had a feeling it wasn't the belt tensioner because the squeaking happens when I am in drive, and will stop if I put my car in neutral. i have a feeling the culprit may be either the crankshaft pulley or the timimg belt tensioner since the squeaking only started after I got my timing belt service done (105k service)....very annoying. i don't want to pay to have the dealer take it apart since I know they will charge to do that to "diagnose" the problem...
