Splash Guard Installation

Just installed the splash guards.
The fronts are easy, the rears are a little more difficult unless you take the tire off or have a very thin ratchet.
All of them fit well except for the rear driver side. No matter how I try to adjust it, it just doesn't want to sit flush. Any suggestions?

that's strange because if the rear passenger side was installed without removing the wheel, then it should work for the driver side.

how about removing the wheel as last resort?

I guess moving the wheel and reinstalling would be a last resort.
I didn't put tape underneath, was I suppose to do that?
I guess it doesn't look that bad if you're not looking for th gap, especially since it's mostly under the bumper.
Thanks, for the suggestions.
