A-Spec fitment issues

A-Spec fitment issues

Hello all. Today i had my front and rear A-Spec kit installed on my 2007 WDP. Everything looked great in the box but then we installed the front this is what happened:

1. Front kit has lots of gaps and spaces. Doesn't seem to fit very flush around the curve areas. Doesn't look very factory to me. Also, the bracket that came with the kit didn't line up with the wholes in the factory location so we couldn't use them. We contacted the dealership and they will be sending us new brackets but if they are the same as the ones i recieved now then that won't help me at all. For now we have screwed directly into the wheel well covers (i think thats what those black wheel well liner pieces are called) but it doesn't look very good to me or feel very professional/factory.

2. Rear kit installed perfectly, no issues. Where the curves are there is a slight gap but i might just remove that and reapply with a better tape. I did buy some 3M red indoor/outdoor tape but i'm going to an autoparts store and look for something thats vehicle specific. The rear almost fit like a glove.

Anyway, its those brackets for the front that really have me bent out of shape.

I also noticed that the car looks bad without the matching side skirts so I will be ordering those soon to complete the kit. However, I won't do that until i get the front fitted and installed properly. That plus i need new brakes on all four corners so thats where the rest of my money is going for now.

Has anyone else had these types of fitment issues. If so please tell me if you just learned to live with it or if you were able to somehow fix it. Thanks.

I'm an idiot. I just downloaded the install guide for the front kit and they did send the correct brackets. We just didn't install them properly. Forgot my rant. We will correct our mistake tomorrow morning and then i will repost to see if that fixed the fitment issues.

we installed the brackets properly this morning and it now looks correct. the only issue i have now is that my tape is no longer holding the kit firmly around the curves. what brand/type of tape have you used to hold your kit on? Don't worry, i screwed it on too, i just want to use tape to hold the curves on tight to the body of the car. Thanks.

3M double sided tape You may also try heating the areas where the original tape should stick. I'm sure it's cold up in Jersey

im having the same issues with my front lip...it doesnt hold around the curved areas in the front....might have to try heating it up or getting some more 3m tape

now that i recall, of all 4 corners the only one that was holding nice was the corner closest to where the installer had a heater. the other ones all kinda have a slight gap. I'm gonna try putting a blow dryer on it for a while later on this week and see if that helps. I used 3m interior/exterior double sided tape (red). I thought it would of held fine but weak so far, unless this heat thing is what it needs although the instructions made no mention of it. I'll keep you posted.
