Spark plugs ?

Hello, i appreciate all the information ive received from this site. I hope i can get some advice. I just purchased a 2006 tl. 96k on the car. We are using it as a second vehicle. Ive done timing belt/water pump service. They found a broken motor mt when doing this so thats fixed. Ive changed all the filters. The car had a rough idle when cold. I researched this and decided to have valves adjusted. This fixed the problem by about 70%. I still notice a slight vibration. Feels like its missing. I feel it in the seat when idleing.

My question involves the plugs. Has anyone had this issue or feel that it could be plugs. I quickly pulled the front 3 out to check their condition and they look ok. I replaced plugs in my last acura at 103k and noticed no difference. I dont want to waste the 80 bucks if its not going to help. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas where the miss could be coming from.

Thanks

The TL intentionally runs a bit rough when it's cold to help heat up the catalysts faster to reduce emissions. This helps the TL get it's ULEV status as an ultra low emissions vehicle. It's perfectly normal and apparent with any TL when cold.

As far as the plugs, acura recommends they be replaced at 105K with the timing belt service so I'd check and see if the plugs were replaced with the 105K service. If not, it'd be a good idea to change them to help the car perform at it's best.

FYI it's about 8-9 dollars each at autozone and you can use a coupon and get like 10 more dollars off the final price. I got new plugs for around 60 dollars with tax here so it worked out well!

x2. If the rough idle only happens on a cold engine, then it's the ULEV system dumping raw fuel to warm up the cats.
