Some questions
I got some questions. I didnt want to make nineteen million threads for each thing.
air stuff
SO. Im in the car. I have the air running. In the morning, the air from the heater feels humid. If I set the air to 86, the compressor runs and the air dries. Later in the day, I have the air set to 70. I turn the compressor off and the air I get is like REALLY HUMID AND HOT! Its like without the compressor running, the air is humid and unbearable.
transmission
In the morning, I start up the car, I set off when the temp gauge has hit the C, I put the car in reverse and its like, well not HARD or anything, like got pushed by a moving car. Then when I get onto the street, the transmission feels like its hesitating. and when it does change up its like a small nudge. after it warms it, its buttery smooth.
trunk opener thing
Neither the the fob or the button in the car, its noisy when it commanded to do something.

are you running the system on auto? If yes, you may have a bad A/C relay or the system may be low on refrigerant. DO NOT USE THE CANS TO RECHARGE THE SYSTEM! Is water dripping from under the car when the ac is running?
Check the color of the transmission fluid! It should be a bright pinkish red. Anything darker or with a tint of brown means you need to change the fluid. The trans holds about 9 quarts of fluid but you can only change 3 quarts at a time. The recommended way is to change the fluid 3x with 3 quarts with a few miles between changes.
Also you can change out the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches for an improvement in shift quality. If you have a 2004-2006 model you can and should change the transmission filter!
You need a new trunk opener! The 2003-2007 Honda accord use the same trunk opener, I bought a used one for $20 from a salvage place locally vs $90 from the dealer! Takes about 20 minutes to swap out.

I only use manual AC in the morning to get the car warm. Dual off/ temp on HI/ air flow is down/1st fan speed. The only time I use the auto mode is when I need to keep a cool car. It only gets humid when I switch the compressor OFF & when the temp is below ~80 and yes, Water is dripping from under the car.
I have the 2006 model w/ navigation
Ill check the gearbox fluid, and are the switches and filters inside the transmission? if it is, its beyond my 'newbie' range, and Ill take it to the shop. Ill have the shop change the fluid if I find it dirty.
Ill do what you did and go to my local salvage place and find a 03-07 accord and pull the trunk opener.

Shift quality is fine after it warms up. It's just in the morning, cold start, it hesitates to shift not from R-D, like when it changes, through all gears, it's a nudge. Once it warms, it is buttery smooth.
I replaced the latch on my 2006 TL with a new one found on ebay. Check prices before you mess with the junkyard, unless you like going to Pick-a-part for entertainment (which I totally understand)
The new latch mechanism is much better designed than the original. Acura should have replace the rotten design under warranty IMHO. We're had trouble with it since the car was 6 months old.
I assume you know you can open the trunk by reaching into it through the ski hole between the rear seats.

I'll see what eBay offers.
Just looked at my file.

They are external and are a tad bit of work to replace but nothing too hard. A shop will probably charge 2 hours of labor to take care of everything.
@csmeance: Why can't you use the R134 cans like AC Pro to refill it? I need to refill mine soon as it became almost inefficient lately. Car is 10 years old, you do need a refill.
@Whovain: Did you check the glove box switch for the trunk opener? Change the cabin air filter if you haven't done so in years. It might help with the air problem.

If you want to DIY it, heres a similar procedure on a 2012 3.7TL:

Ratteling sound upon cold start
This sound goes away after a few seconds of the motor running.
Im not sure if this could be some early warning sign to something that might fail.
I heard it Monday when I left the door open as I was turning it on.

What..? Turning the AC/compressor off will obviously result in air that is the same humidity as it is outside - the compressor isn't doing anything to change that! I have no idea why you're running the heater on full to "get the car warm" - it's summer time in California, just get in, hit the auto button, set it to 74 (adjust to taste), and leave it alone - the compressor will kick on and off and keep the air nice and dry. If auto isn't drying the air then the AC/compressor isn't kicking on so just hit the AC button to do it manually.
It could be a loose heat shield on a catalyst. Check your oil level and make sure it's fine.
Some clunking noise when in reverse
This is another cold symptom. There is some clunking noise on the right side of the car. It goes away after its warmed up. The noise is only present when in the reverse.
Excuse my automobile knowledge. But I may know what it is.
When I was in the rite aid parking lot, I had bottomed out the front suspension and I guess it may have damaged one of the CV joints. Yet, the noise is only present when the motor is cold and transmission is in the Reverse.

I have returned.
Checked transmission fluid, it needs to be changed, as its brownish black. The shop will have the stuff tomorrow. I will mention the noises from the right side as well.

I have gotten an error message. It wants me to tighten the gas cap. I have. I just put gas in it. Its still there. Im going to take it to my mechanic and see what they say about it.
It appeared this morning while I was going to work.

Thanks for all your help with my now gone TL. It was totaled in a car accident. I'm going to miss that car.
I wish I could get another one. I really do.
