Small problem with Arm rest and brake light

Sup people. So I bought my car used 1 month ago, and encountered a few small problems here and there.

The sliding arm rest is missing the cushion, so its hard as hell! Iono why on earth its missing, or why anyone wanna take it out. But I was wondering how I should go about this. Do I just unscrew the whole piece, and place a flat cushion in there?

Last problem is the brake light on the rear window. Its fogging up because theres a gap between it and the window. How should I clean up this mess? I dont wanna yank it out or anything unless it can be easily glued back on. Plus the gap is too small for me to clean it with a shop towel.

Any help is appreciated =)
