Sluggish off the line on humid days?

I've noticed that on days where it has rained, the car is noticeably slower off the line. While on other days I can spin the tires at full throttle. Does the humidity have something to do with this or is there a problem with the car?

Infamous power loss due to heat/humidity is normal for 3G TL

I hope your not talking about trying to spin tires in wet conditions and its slower than dry because of the VSA?

As it was said, humidity and heat kill power in any car. The water displaces oxygen in the intake charge. Just like heat means the air is less dense and it's the same result, less oxygen available for combustion. Some TLs are very sensitive to climate changes.

Technically,it's normal for our cars. There's an entire thread about additional cooling mods in the 3G garage.

Its the worst when im making a left turn into traffic and im prepared to correct the car but due to the snow on the ground i end up dead stopped in the middle of the road because vsa keeps cutting the engine. I've just become used to correcting the car myself due to this. (if it was rwd I would keep it on though)

Ugh. suddenly today the sluggishness came back. it's only 75 degrees 51% humidity...The engine just did not want to rev. I would floor it and it was so difficult to get into the power band.

Did you ever find out what the problem was? I have a 2005 RL and I am having the same issues, car usually gets to 60 around 7 secs but now takes 8+ seconds it's driving me crazy bc my car didn't used to drive sluggish like this!

It's normal on just about every car out there, it just happens to be more noticeable on the J series motors.
