Slow engine oil leak, options other than main seal?

Noticed a new, slow leak on the garage floor on my 2005 base TL. Checked under the car and there is a decent amount of engine oil on the plastic engine shield, and seems to be originating from the transmission/engine gasket. It’s hard to pinpoint but most of the oil seems to be there, no residue around the oil pan plug. Due to the splatter, it’s hard to definitively tell where it came from, would there but any other likely culprits around this area? See attached photos. It’s interesting that the plastic shield doesn’t seem to have oil until half way down the gasket location.

try some AT-205 re-seal in the oil it might help with your internal seals. I use it on my suspension and hoses also. Its really amazing stuff.

other than the rear main seal, the other common seals are; Oil filter pump housing, cam shaft seals, and valve covers.

Sounds good. I replaced the PCV valve per some of the recommendations on this site, it looks like my old one was clogged as it wouldn’t make any noise when I shook it. No drips since I replaced the valve, we’ll see if that did the trick.
