i need a oil pan (engine) asap .

Hey I don't know if you found one yet but goodluck with that repair.

I needed to replace mine but the mechanic was basicaly scared to touch it. For the 2.5 you need to lift the engine 2 inches + remove diff/transferbox + pull out driveshaft...just to take out the oil pan! I just got mine welded for $80.

 

u jus got your oil pan welded......can u tell me how they did it n if they left the oil pan where it is or they had 2 take it out n the where the crack was on it

 

The crack was right next to the drainplug. They put the car on a lift and welded it on the spot. I was worried at first but then I found out they actualy weld engine blocks so I'm sure it'll hold up.

 

i went to a mechanic and they said the only was to weld is to take the oil pan out.......can you please give me a call i would appreciate it a lot 914 403 3444

 

Tell your mechanic he's full of it. Also don't let your mechanic weld it..there are certified block welders that he sure as hell knows of but won't tell you about since he doesn't make a profit. I wish I could give you a number to call or anything that would help you but I can't. I took my car to a cousin and he found someone who welded it.
