Sideview Mirror problems, anyone else?

Sideview Mirror problems, anyone else?

Hey gents, when I put my car in reverse the passenger sideview mirror no longer tilts down. Sometimes if i fiddle with the switch to select either side it will work. The drivers side seems to work more regularly when I select that side. I'm thinking it's the reverse sensing switch cause when it was not working I did not notice the reverse lights coming on. This is a 6 MT FWIW. What do you guys think? I'm going to be taking it to the dealer when I get a chance.

I'm kinda confused about this.

When I set it to the right mirror, only the right mirror will tilt down. When its set to the left, only the left will tilt down. When its set in the middle, it wont tilt at all, lol. I thought they were both supposed to tilt down..

no, only one or the other are supposed to tilt down, the middle position is actually the off position.

Damn, I was wondering the same thing. When I first bought it, they both went down now they never do. I will have to try it on one side or the other..

im sure your actuator/s is the problem, not your reverse switch.

i had a similar problem. my side view mirror would either rattle its way down as suppose to a smooth tilt down or not move at all. i just brought it to the dealer through my warrenty and they fixed the problem at no cost.
