Side View Mirrors--Problem

My side view mirrors will no long adjust down for backing up. I put the car from reverse to drive several times but nothing happens. I just noticed this today as I left work. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything else I should try before taking it to the service department?

Make sure the mirror selector switch is either "Left" or "Right" - that determines which mirror tilts down. If the switch is in the center, neither mirror tilts.

I have the same problem on 06 TL. I have made sure that the switch is correct and sometimes I have to place the vehicle in park and then in reverse for the mirros to work. And sometimes when they do work, they do it in a sloppy, unsmooth manner.

I had the same problem...it's a dealer/warranty fix. Something is bad with a motor or switch (I forget what). My left one was bad, but Hendrick tested the right one while they had it and said it was bad, too. The replaced both under warranty.

Had this same problem in my 04 TL. It was also accompanied by my windshield washer motor not working. The dealer replaced a fuse and it fixed both problems.

I just had mine into the dealer yesterday for the issue.....First they say that they cannot replicate, Then they give some crap that they use a trick where they manually adjust the mirror down to like 2-3 clicks and that will readjust it and fix the issue. Either way the issue is fixed, and I have it written that I brought it in for this. When I told them about Acurazine, he didn't want to hear it and gave me an attitude. I wanted to b*tch-smack him right there, but I kept my cool.

Does anyone know if this is covered by the extended warranty I purchased thru Honda when I purchased the car. I've had other work done during the warranty. I'm assuming it's covered...I have the 100,000 mile extended warranty.
