Side mirrors stopped adjusting today
Side mirrors stopped adjusting today
You know when you put the car in reverse and the side mirros go down? Well that didn't happen today. Also when i tryed to adjust the mirrors i noticed that i can only turn the to the "right" and "down". It won't move "up" or "left". So now my side mirrors are all useless beacause they are pointing down and all the way to the right. Anyone know why this has happened? and how i can fix it?
Same thing happened to my mirrors about three days ago. I had to push the mirrors back to where I wanted them by hand. I can only adjust them down and right as well. I'm guessing the actuators have gone bad.

Mirror actuator/motors, antenna motors, and dashboard lights -- I've had problems with these in every Honda/Acura I've owned. Fortunately the TL has the antenna embedded in the rear window.

It ended up being the windshield washer fuse (7.5A) on the driver side kick panel. Apparently when the washer fluid freezes and you try to use it, the fuse overloads and pops. This same fuse is some how tied into the up/left side mirror controls as well as the driver setting recall.
There's a service bulletin for it which calls for replacing the fuse with a 10A.

Thanks for the help! I changed it yesterday and everything is working again! Im glad i didnt take the whole dash apart or take it to the dealership which would have charged me $100 just to find the problem, even if all it was just one fuse..
with my 2004 TL i changed the fuse and did the wiper motor recall and it still doesn't work. My driver side mirror doesn't move left or up, the mirror doesn't move at all when i put it in reverse(yes i moved the switch to the L slot and still nothing) id hate to take it to the dealer and make em charge me 125 fee just to find the problem. any one have suggestions?
OK, check your windshield washer. Does it work? If it does, then your fuse #20 is good. If it doesn't, fuse #20 is still bad.
The other two fuses that control the side mirrors are #7 and #30 (under dash). Check them as well. Barring a fuse, it could be a bad actuator, a bad switch, a bad power mirror control unit, or a bad position sensor.

Can someone tell me if both mirrors are suppose to go down at the same time if the switch is left in the middle? I thought when I first bought my car that both mirrors would adjust in reverse, but now they only do it when I have the switch to the left or the right?

I have replaced the drivers side rear view mirror motor unit in my '06 TL twice now. Once under warranty at 75k kms and now again at 150k kms. For me, only the drivers side goes because that is what I use 98% of the time. I replaced the motor unit in less than 10 minutes on my driveway with just a torx screw driver. If you want step by step instructions of the entire process just let me know and I will provide.

2013-side mirrors not working
Thanks guys! I noticed the issue today with my mirrors going down and right but not up and left. Sure enough yesterday i noticed I didn't have any wiper fluid and I filled it last night but didn't try it to see if it worked. So it was definitely my #20 fuse that was bad. It's all better now!
I just filled the wash fluid and mine doesn’t work. Do I need to give some time before checking?
From what this thread sounds like, the fuse blows if you run out of windshield washer fluid. So the fix isn't simply just adding windshield washer fluid - it's also replacing the fuse for the windshield washer too, which looks like #20.
