Shifter Shift Gear

Shifter Shift Gear
Hello. I was wondering if anyone can help. My daughter's tooth slipped into the shifter shift gear (i think that's what its called), when I put the shifter in park. I can hear it move around when I shift gear. Is there any way for me to get it back (newbie here)?
I'd ask the tooth fairy but I don't think she knows anything about cars. =)
Any tips is appreciated.

Well, taking it all apart to get the tooth will be a lot of work. My curiosity about why the tooth was near the gear selector (what you call the shifter shift gear) aside...
My only suggestion would be to try to make a very small vacuum nozzle with something like a plastic drinking straw. You'd have to adapt it someway to a vacuum with a hose and then be sure not to use the full suction. (Most vacuums that have hoses have a ring you can slide to open up a hole to vent some suction). You don't need much to pickup something as light as a tooth. I have the 6 speed manual so I'm only speculating you could get a straw down the gear selector since a tooth was able to find its way down there.
As for if it will do any damage, I don't know. It may just get crushed and be OK. Lucky you didn't spill a soda down there. That's been a major hassle for others.
P.S. Give your daughter the $ for the tooth. Tell her the Tooth Fairy has a thing for Acuras

Thanks Adobeman! I found some videos and it is a lot of work. I'm not even going to try. I might have to say her tooth fairy happen to love Acuras. hehehe
I almost got it back using a hairpin to slide it out. However, it was too big to slip out through the crevice until it slipped back in. I can still hear but I can't get it close to the crevice anymore. Maybe I'll try the vacuum to get it close to my reach.
To answer your curiosity, I placed it in the center console on the drive home along with couple other things. The tooth must have fallen near the crevice when I grabbed the other things. When I drove the car the following day and changed the gear, i felt something stuck and before you know it, I saw it slipped under.
