Shift lock solenoid when stopped

Shift lock solenoid when stopped

Hello, Im new to this site. Just purchased an 08 acura tl type s. had it for 3 months now and just realize that there is a clicking sound when i start and when i stop. I searched the forums and found out it was shift lock solenoid. any idea how to stop the clicks, and is this normal? Thanks

I remember reading a thread on how to fix this issue by placing a piece of felt(?) at the solenoid, I can't remember exactly. My local dealer replaced the shifter assembly in mine but that didn't fix the problem.
