I have a problem. When I make a hard left turn, it chimes once and the interior lights come on for about five seconds and then turn off.

the screen says door open when its not. it seems to only happen when i have passengers in the car. scares the shit out of them and me also cause i dont want anyone to fall out..lol

anyone had this problem before?

 

Is it saying the passenger door is open? Does the indicated door pin work properly when the door is actually opened? These cars have negative triggers for the doors, if the wire has come off the door pin for whatever reason it may be contacting body around left turns. Not sure why it would come off unless the door gets slammed really hard a lot or it's been in an accident. They are easy to pop out and check, open said door and near the latch on the car body you will see the black door pin covered in rubber, the circular part flips up and reveals the screw.

 

it does say the passenger door is open, i dont know which one is triggering it to go off though. im the 2nd owner of this car so maybe something happened prior to me owning it. i have to take my car in for an oil change in 2k miles but if its something i can fix myself i will do it. although im still under waranty i just dont want acura to try and give me some BS.

i'll look at what your talking about and see if i can solve the issue. if anyone has had this issue, what have you done to fix it?

 

had this on my old civic. it turned out to be the wire connecting to the drivers door switch. wire was expossed. who knows what was done to the poor car. its safe to say i was the 1xxxxxx owner.
