The stealership is trying to F#$K you!! All three of those lights are very easily replaced by removing a few screws on your center console and simply replacing the lights!! There are DIY's for that all over this forum just run a search!!! I replaced all my lights, it cost me $11 and took me less than 20 minutes!! Good Luck!!

same issue here...this is obviously a quality control flaw w/ the TL...i have a light or two out in the dash area as well...search the garage, i remember seeing a very thorough DIY in there awhile back regarding the seat heater bulb replacement, watch out though...i've heard it is not a simple fix

^^ Check the LED replacement threads -- there should be one for the console lights that will cover the heated seat buttons. Follow those instructions to replace the bulbs.

Bulb replacement in the heater switches is really a pretty simple repair. There are three bulbs in each switch and you should replace all the bulbs in both switches when you are in there. You have to carefully peel back both sides of the console trim to access the two screws that hold the front of the storage compartment and move the storage compartment back. There another two at the very bottom of the compartment. Gently pull it to the rear and unplug the connectors. The bulbs are tiny and if you drop one it is probably gone forever. Turn it to the left and lift out. You might have to use tweezers or needle nose pliers to get a hold of the black plastic part but they do come out.

Here is a thread of a scan of the service manual on how to take apart the center console to get to the bulb. I havent tried it, I might ask the dealer to fix mine the next oil change. That extended warrenty hopefully is worth something..almost at 100K mark and havent had any issues.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I relied on this to assist me in replacing my seat heater lights. Radio Shack sells a perfect replacement for $1.99 for 2 of them.

Follow the steps in the diagram above to access the switch. I learned that you don't actually need to take the switch out, just peel back the silver backing on them to access the light bulbs. The center bulb is the one that lights up with the car's lights are on. Twist it to the left 1/4 and pry it out.
IMPORTANT: Save the little plastic base the dead light comes on, and the blue rubber cover on the bulb. Also, test the replacement bulb by touching the leads onto the terminals of a 9V battery. I didn't test one of my bulbs and this lead to about an hour of troubleshooting. It was DOA.
Take take the old bulb out of the base, and slide off the rubber cover. Place the cover on the replacement and thread the leads through the holes in the base. Next wrap the leads around the base like how the dead one was wrapped.
If you find that your seat heaters no longer work after doing this repair, double check fuse #15 in the inner fuse box. For some reason I burned out the fuse doing this repair, and even burned out a replacement fuse. I ruled out a short, but they burned out none the less.
Good luck!
