Scratched bumper

I just bought a 2008 TL about 6 weeks ago, switching from an SUV that I've driven since I was 16 (I'm 23). being used to the greater ride height, i wasn't aware at how careful i have to be when pulling in and out of driveways. i've been scraping the underside of the front bumper at least once a week and so i'm now overly careful when i pull into a driveway which is annoying. fortunately, the scratches are not visible as they are on the underside. however, i backed out of a driveway a few weeks ago and scraped the curb as i was turning and the lower front side of the bumper got scratched and is now visible. i'm too lazy and almost afraid of going to a body shop to see how much that will cost to fix so i'm wondering if any of yall would be able to estimate the cost. the scraped area is about 4"x 2". any ideas?

thanks

You don't mention the color of the car. WDP has a special multi-step process to apply the paint so it matches the rest of teh car. I asked about getting the rear bumper on my 06 AM resprayed and was given an estimate of $250-300. Would probably be about the same for the front. My rear bumper has a rather large scratch on it, too

Just leave it, bumper will get scratched again. Or wait for more damage before you do anything.

Without seeing a picture and just going off of your description, I'd guess probably 400 bucks

the color is carbon bronze. i can't imagine the whole thing will have to be painted, perhaps some touch up? i know i'm being naive but what about that stuff on tv they use where they key a car and then touch it up and it looks okay? i'm sure it'll get scratched more as i still scratch it up on some driveways but thats on the underside thats not visible so i'm not as upset. i'm just upset that i've only had it for 6 weeks and it's already scratched. i was hoping to spend less than $100 to clear it up...

does anyone know of any add ons you can put on the underside (like a skid plate) that's not visible to protect the bumper from getting scratched? i cringe everytime i hear it scrape..
