Scratch and Dent, is this repair cost reasonable? [Large Pics]
So I recently got into a minor accident and scratched and dented the rear driver side fender on my TL, I took it to a shop and they told me the cost to repair and paint to factory was approx. $1200. Is that reasonable?

Yes, based on prior repairs to similar damage.
The rocker panel piece will be replaced (cheaper than repairing), and the quarter panel and door will need to be repaired and painted. Insurance was billed @ $1600+ for repairs to my TL at a good body shop in West LA; labor costs may be less if you aren't in metro SoCal.
You can also contact the nearest Acura dealer to see which body shop it uses (cars are sometimes dinged up and must be repaired before sale), then have that body shop give you an estimate.

Ok, thank you for posting. I had looked up the prices of some of those body parts, but wasn't sure about the price they wanted to charge.
I'm going to go to a different shop and get a second quote. I appreciate it.

IIRC, it's either a $27 or $60 part which comes pre-painted.

I see that part is scraped, but where can you find that panel for 27-60!? New OEM it is 154.17 .3 Labor and .6 Refinish. The shop will also have to charge to blend that panel even if it comes pre painted as the color match would be off from what they could mix. also they would have to charge to blend the front cover as well, where if you repaired the molding then you keep the color back and blend within the panel, thats max a .5-1hr repair. Being an insurance adjuster i wouldnt pay to replace it.
